About the Role
As a Department Manager at Kmart, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and contributing to the success of our store. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining a positive store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and improve customer engagement
- Monitor and control store inventory, merchandise, and visual displays to ensure a positive shopping experience
- Collaborate with other department managers to achieve store goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in a retail management role, preferably in a similar environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering a positive shopping experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting sales targets and achieving store goals
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions
