Infrastructure Design Lead

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Design Lead - Utilities to join our team in New South Wales. As an Arcadian, you will be responsible for providing 3D modelling, coordination and clash detection of utilities using Civil 3D or 12D software.
In this role, you will identify utility impacts resulting from civil/structural designs and resolve clashes and spaceproof design relocations. You will also coordinate with utility authorities to obtain inputs for design, protection and relocation requirements and approvals.

- Coordinate with utility authorities to obtain inputs for design, protection and relocation requirements and approvals;
- Manage subcontractors such as Water Service Coordinators (WSC) and Electrical designers (ASP3);
- Review design documents and ensure compliance with project components including drawings, reports, specifications and interfaces with other disciplines;
- Collaborate with other design disciplines to ensure overall design integrity;
- Liaise with Project Manager and client to keep them informed of all developments associated with the project;
- Provide leadership and technical advice to project team members;
- Manage design development, quality assurance and client feedback and communicate changes/modifications effectively;
- Direct project team, lead by example and achieve sector goals while championing quality, innovative, client-focused and entrepreneurial culture.
You must be a degree qualified engineering professional with professional accreditation and have:
- Demonstrated years of relevant post-graduate experience including supervising aspects of a project, application of standards and technical knowledge;
- Demonstrated experience in managing utility approval processes for major utility relocation and protection designs on infrastructure projects;
- Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, motivate and delegate skills;
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills both internally and externally;
- Experience working in multi-discipline design and/or project teams.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
We offer a hybrid working arrangement allowing you to work remotely and from our office to suit your needs and preferences. In this role, you will be required to work a minimum of 3 days from the office.
