As a seasoned professional in the field of rail infrastructure, you have the unique opportunity to join Arcadis as a Senior Design Lead.

About the Role

This exciting position offers a chance to lead large-scale rail projects, overseeing multi-disciplinary design coordination and providing technical leadership to project teams. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, attending meetings, responding to enquiries, and collaborating across all stages of the project lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities
  • Oversee the coordination of multiple design disciplines and provide technical guidance to project teams.
  • Represent Arcadis at client meetings, respond to client inquiries, and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Take ownership of financial and project management controls, ensuring timely service delivery, and undertaking reviews to ensure above-client-expectation outcomes.
  • Manage resource acquisition, deployment, and optimization for the project.
  • Drive project performance, service delivery, and technical outcomes, ensuring client expectations are exceeded.
Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role, you should be a degree-qualified engineering professional with extensive experience in project and/or design management. Your background should include demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary design teams for rail projects within a design and engineering consultancy environment.

You should possess the ability to implement design delivery best practices, including risk and change management, project planning, and establishment. Proficiency in modern methods of delivery, such as model-based systems engineering and digital engineering processes, is essential. Additionally, experience with construction staging and stakeholder management would be highly regarded.

A sound knowledge of the rail industry, well-developed technical and commercial skills, and established stakeholder management capabilities are also required. Previous experience working on NSW or QLD projects would be advantageous.
