We are seeking a skilled Events & Partnerships Coordinator to join our team at the Housing Industry Association (HIA). This exciting role offers an excellent career opportunity with a competitive salary in Newcastle, a high-profile location.
The HIA has been proudly representing the Australian housing industry for over seventy-five years. Our vision remains unchanged, to be an association that speaks with a united voice on industry issues and creates real change by providing quality services at the lowest possible cost.
The Event and Partnership Coordinator plays a crucial role in the coordination and delivery of various industry events, including the prestigious HIA Housing Awards program, member information sessions, and social events. Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Collaborating with the wider team to develop and deliver a high-quality events program that aligns with HIA's strategic objectives
- Managing, promoting, and expanding the HIA Awards through effective marketing and outreach strategies
- Achieving defined targets (KPIs) for the events program, including award entries, event attendance numbers, and overall program expenditure
- Securing and growing partnership revenue in line with budgeted targets to ensure profitability of events and other partnership-funded activities
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A proven track record in managing and delivering quality events programs
- The ability to handle conflicting priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines without compromising attention to detail
Our ideal candidate will have a passion for events and partnerships, with a strong understanding of the housing industry. They will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Salary estimate: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on industry standards and the Newcastle location. Please note that the salary range is an estimate and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
