Event Production Manager

The Law Society of New South Wales is seeking a highly skilled Event Production Manager to join their Venue and Events team. This 12-month contract role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the planning and delivery of high-quality events, conferences, and meetings across various topics.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for implementing and executing engaging and relevant events, both internally and externally, in collaboration with key stakeholders. Your primary objective will be to deliver exceptional events that exceed expectations and build strong relationships with clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with stakeholders to organize and execute a range of events, conferences, and meetings, ensuring seamless logistics and timely execution.
- Provide creative and logistical leadership to ensure events are delivered to the highest standards, within budget, and align with the company's vision.
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive event calendars, detailing recurring events and ad-hoc/special events for all business units.
- Develop project plans for all events, ensuring all associated tasks are completed on time, and roles and responsibilities are clearly defined.
- Research and source venue and catering options for events, providing clear and effective recommendations to stakeholders.
- Liaise with external venues and key suppliers, negotiating sound and effective agreements.
- Manage and administer approved costs associated with events, maintaining accurate budgets and administering payments to suppliers within guidelines.
- Ensure regular reporting of event information, including budget, attendance, and overall success, to key stakeholders.
- A minimum of five years' experience in organizing, planning, and executing events and conferences within a corporate/professional environment.
- Proven experience in managing budgets and negotiating with external and internal clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines with competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft and event management software (or similar applications).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to command respect from management and staff.
