A Key Role in Our People Team

Bunnings is the leading retailer of home improvement and lifestyle products in Australia and New Zealand, and a major supplier to project builders, commercial tradespeople, and the housing industry. As a People and Culture Manager, you will have the opportunity to grow, develop, have fun, and make a positive difference – to our customers and the communities where we live and work.

About the Role:

Due to an internal promotion, we are currently looking for an experienced and people-focused leader to join our team. This role will be based at our Support Office in Burnley VIC and will lead 5 People and Culture Business Partners who support 95+ locations across Victoria and Tasmania.

This is a critical role for our People team and will focus on proactively influencing our National P&C strategy for Bunnings and executing it across both states to help build our best team for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders on key HR strategic priorities
  • Influence and contribute to the development of our national HR strategy and anticipate and future trends and emerging issues
  • Provide leadership, coaching, direction, and support to our People team and senior leaders
  • Assess and lead future workforce planning and implement the talent planning process
  • Support and execute all ER/IR strategies

You'll Need:

  • Degree qualified ideally in Business or HR with solid experience in a senior HR leadership role
  • You have led and coached HR teams ideally in geographically dispersed locations
  • Any experience in HR within the retail industry would be highly advantageous, or experience working in a fast-paced, large multi-site organisation would be ideal
  • You have experience managing a P&L
  • You're a problem solver, safety-focused, and experienced in supporting change
  • Experience partnering with leaders up to and including executive level stakeholders
  • Ultimately, you are passionate about the team you lead and support a business to have the best team members by supporting their growth and development.
