About the Opportunity

Delivering major infrastructure upgrades as part of a new integrated capital works planning and delivery model, we are seeking an experienced professional to lead health and safety initiatives across our joint venture.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in senior health and safety leadership roles, ideally within infrastructure, construction or utilities, with a proven track record of leading and mentoring safety teams. Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a focus on lead indicators and proactive action, are essential.

This role is highly collaborative, requiring engagement with JV partners, contractors, suppliers and clients to embed safety as a core value in one of Victoria's most significant infrastructure programs. A collaborative and improvement-focused approach to building safety culture is crucial for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Program Safety Management Plan.
  • Oversee project and subcontractor safety plans, driving audits, investigations and reporting.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement across all sites.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in a senior health and safetyleadership role, ideally within infrastructure, construction or utilities.
  • A track record of leading and mentoring safety teams, with strong communication and stakeholder skills.
  • Proven ability to review, implement and monitor safety management systems and plans.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a focus on lead indicators and proactive action.
  • A collaborative and improvement-focused approach to building safety culture.
