Process Safety Expert

The role of Process Safety Analyst is pivotal in ensuring the compliance of occupational health and safety regulations across major hazard facilities.

This is an ongoing full-time opportunity requiring strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills. The successful candidate will have experience in risk assessment and management, as well as a passion for health and safety.

The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications and/or significant equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in process safety and prevention of major hazard incidents.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the assessment of safety case submissions from major hazard facilities
  • Providing guidance and support to operators of major hazard facilities
  • Developing new or improved procedures for regulatory duties

In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with a focus on influencing others to implement risk assessments and management strategies.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in process safety and prevention of major hazard incidents
  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • Experience in risk assessment and management
  • Passion for health and safety
