Job Overview

Linfox Intermodal is seeking a HR Advisor to provide effective HR advisory support to one of its largest business units. This role will involve delivering practical HR support to a wide range of stakeholders, focusing on building leadership capability, employee engagement, and coaching for the Intermodal team. Key areas of focus include:

  • Providing first-level advisory support for employees and managers on employment matters and resolving HR-related queries, including policy advice and interpretation.
  • Assisting with the performance and development planning cycle, including coaching people leaders, to improve the quality of performance and development conversations and outcomes.
  • Investigating employee grievances, complaints, and disciplinary processes, and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Analysing people data and reports to make recommendations to address highlighted issues.
  • Interpreting and advising on applicable Agreements and Awards, and ensuring compliance with Fair Work and other obligations.
  • Supporting managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Monitoring compliance of HR-related processes and documents.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working as an HR Advisor or HRBP within the Transport Industry.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information.
  • Impeccable organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and take initiative to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Power BI and creating Dashboards, including data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently meet deadlines and achieve high standards, with limited direct supervision.
  • A degree qualification in Human Resources, Business, Logistics, or a relevant discipline.
