About This Role
The Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Justice Officer. This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service for 12 months.
About The Business Unit
The Justice Officer will be part of the Corrections and Justice Services branch within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, North West Metropolitan Area. This team is responsible for delivering justice services to the community, including community work programs and court services.
About The Role
The successful candidate will provide administration support to the Community Work office, enabling the delivery of services to clients and partnerships. This will involve providing information and assistance to clients, internal and external stakeholders, and the public, as well as collating, reviewing, and processing applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality administrative support to the Community Work office, including greeting and liaising with clients and stakeholders, and providing accurate advice and information in relation to justice services.
- Collating, reviewing, and processing applications, and providing information and assistance to clients and stakeholders.
- Providing a range of administrative services to regional program areas, including administrative support to community correctional services and sheriff's operations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Well-developed computer literacy and experience in working in a multi-disciplinary service delivery team.
- The ability to cooperate and work well with others in pursuit of team goals, while sharing information and acknowledging others' efforts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide high-quality customer service.
