About the Role
The Executive Officer is responsible for the development and maintenance of supportive linkages between justice agencies and community organisations, providing policy advice, implementing the Regional Justice Plan, providing secretariat services to the Regional Aboriginal Advisory Committee (RAJAC), and promoting all Aboriginal Justice Agreement (AJA) initiatives within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide key support, secretariat services, and advice to the RAJAC, including the preparation of meeting papers, agenda, venue, catering, and minute taking.
- Pro-actively build and maintain positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain regular contact with the Chairperson West Metropolitan RAJAC.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal communities, society, and culture.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal communities.
- Qualifications: Related qualifications and/or experience is desirable.
