About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven National Sales Manager to join our team at Arna Pharma. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and expanding our market share in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve national sales targets, drive revenue growth, and expand our market presence.
  • Lead and Manage Sales Teams: Lead, coach, and manage a team of specialist sales representatives, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure they are equipped to succeed in their roles.
  • Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, healthcare professionals, and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service and driving business growth through strategic partnerships.
  • Market Analysis and Insights: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and identify new business opportunities.
  • Reporting and Performance Metrics: Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability in our sales performance.
  • Sales Training and Development: Oversee the creation and execution of sales training programs to enhance team performance, drive sales growth, and ensure our sales teams are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the market.
  • Financial Management: Manage the national sales budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and maximizing return on investment.
  • People Management: Provide leadership and guidance to sales team members, including recruitment, retention, development plans, succession planning, and training.
  • Business Development: Actively seek, identify, analyze, and present new business opportunities and improvement ideas to senior management, driving business growth and innovation.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a science, business, or management discipline or equivalent.
  • Industry Experience: 10+ years sales management experience in the Australian pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven Sales Success: Proven sales success within the industry, with a track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a sales team through change.
  • Communication and Relationship-Building: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Analytical Mindset: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic decisions.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel nationally as required.
