Director of Whisky Sales & Marketing

Our client, a renowned BC distillery, is seeking a seasoned professional to lead their sales and marketing efforts for their spirit portfolio. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee the sales and marketing strategy, manage a small sales team, and collaborate with distributors and contract-based whisky ambassadors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand distribution channels
  • Manage relationships with sales agencies, distributors, and contract-based whisky ambassadors
  • Analyze sales and inventory data to inform business decisions and maintain competitive positioning
  • Provide sales support and build brand awareness through events, media, and social media
  • Manage off-site inventory levels and participate in senior leadership team meetings
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in the spirits industry, with a strong understanding of beverage alcohol markets
  • Proven track record of growing beverage alcohol brands in international markets, including the US
  • Strong sales management experience and ability to lead, develop, and mentor a sales team
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze sales and inventory data
