About Knox Private Hospital, one of the largest private hospitals in Victoria, caring for over 1.2 million people across Melbourne's east and outer east.

We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries, backed by the latest technology and expertise, with 15 theatres, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more.

All supported by the expanded coronary care unit and intensive care unit, with an expert care team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and other professionals ensuring exceptional patient experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet all customers
  • Handle enquiries with a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer and redirect calls
  • Prepare admission paperwork
  • Perform Health Fund Checks as required
  • Ability to work in Fast paced environment
  • Manage the collection of Emergency Department deposits, Health fund Excess/co-payments and out of pocket fees
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient information data collection and processing of medical records
  • Experience in an acute patient focused Healthcare facility/Hospital
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Works well independently and within a team
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts- 7-day rotating rosters
  • WebPas Hospital system experience desired
