National Patient Transport (NPT) is seeking an experienced Rostering Officer to join our growing Workforce Planning Team at our Noble Park Head Office. You'll work closely with our Rosters Manager and a small, fast-paced team to ensure shift coverage across our 24/7 non-emergency patient transport operations.

This full-time role requires strong rostering capability, proactive problem-solving, and a genuine ability to balance workforce needs with compliance, fairness, and care.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing and updating rosters to ensure all shifts are filled appropriately
  • Actioning unplanned vacancies and urgent shift changes
  • Using UKG Pro (formerly Kronos) to assign staff to vehicles, runs, and training shifts
  • Monitoring staff qualifications to ensure compliance with NEPT regulations
  • Liaising with operational teams and payroll to ensure smooth coordination
  • Producing daily shift line-ups and internal communications
  • Troubleshooting gaps in staff availability and reporting patterns of concern
  • Maintaining accurate staff information in the rostering system
  • Supporting new staff onboarding with initial rostering and shift allocations
You're the Right Fit If You Have:
  • 2+ years' rostering experience – ideally in healthcare, transport, or customer service
  • Demonstrated experience with UKG/Kronos (highly regarded and strongly preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet daily time-sensitive deadlines
  • Confident phone and email communication with both frontline staff and managers
  • Ability to balance empathy and efficiency in decision-making
  • Strong MS Office skills and ability to learn internal rostering/reporting tools
  • A commitment to confidentiality and fairness in staff management
About Your Roster

This is a full-time position based at our Noble Park Head Office, working five days per week across a flexible rotating roster. Shifts may include:

  • Day and afternoon shifts
  • Some weekend coverage, as rostered

You'll need to be comfortable working within a small, agile team that supports 24/7 operations, with the ability to adapt to changing demands and urgent roster requirements.
