Your Responsibilities:
The Sales Director for ANZ serves as the primary Sales leader for the ANZ Performance Management Unit (PMU) and is an integral member of the ANZ Leadership Team. This position is accountable for achieving profitable sales volume, gross margin, and profit objectives by steering strategic contributions to the ANZ PMU strategy. This involves translating brand strategies into actionable sales plans and budgets across various countries, channels, and customers.
This role encompasses overseeing all customer-facing sales operations throughout ANZ, including Key Customer Management across diverse channels such as Retail Grocery, Wholesale, Food Service, Club, E-commerce, Pharmacy, and Pet Specialty. The Sales Director must exhibit strong leadership and team development capabilities, consistently embodying and promoting Clorox values while enhancing team performance.
Key Duties Include:
- Formulating and implementing sales strategies aligned with PMU objectives.
- Driving effective execution of brand strategies and core growth innovations to meet volume and profit expectations.
- Representing the Sales function on the ANZ Leadership Team, ensuring cross-functional collaboration.
- Leading the category planning team to set benchmarks for excellence in sales planning.
- Overseeing the order-to-cash process to ensure efficiency and relevance to customer needs.
- Developing and managing trade funds policies while ensuring strict financial controls.
- Engaging with customers to foster growth in Net Customer Sales, Gross Margin, and Profit.
- Building and nurturing a high-performing sales team through talent development and succession planning.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years in leadership roles with direct reports.
- At least 10 years of experience across various channels, including AU Retail Grocery.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in managing key retailers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams effectively.
- Financial proficiency, particularly in trade spend processes.
