About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Sales to lead our Grid Technologies Sales team in Australia. As a key member of our Asia Pacific Management Team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a country sales strategy to increase top and bottom-line targets with all kinds of potential customers and channels.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and ensure implementation of country sales strategy for Grid Technologies Sales Australia.
- Take an active role in advocating for Grid Technologies' interests and increasing customer satisfaction through developing opportunities into sustainable projects.
- Investigate and evaluate specific business opportunities for products, product bundles, systems, and services by analyzing mid-term investments of customers in the Australia market.
- Drive and monitor key market development programs, vertical sales development, portfolio pushes, and pricing enhancements.
- Ensure effective sales setup capitalizing synergies in collaboration within GT execution units and across Siemens Energy Business Areas.
- Ensure effective sales organization and infrastructure for cooperation with other parts in the value chain (Marketing & Communication, Product Management, etc.).
- Guarantee flawless execution of orders, including coordination between factories, other Siemens Energy BUs, external suppliers, and remaining onshore scope.
- Lead and develop the workforce, ensuring maximum productivity and effectiveness. Enable a high-performance culture of business excellence and continuous improvement, with motivated employees and retention of key staff.
- Demonstrate a 'safety first' approach and live the Zero Harm culture: thinking & working safely, in line with organization & regulatory requirements.
About You
- Master or equivalent experience in Engineering or Business Administration.
- Excellent sales experience/knowledge of common technologies related to Grid Technologies equipment such as Power Transformers, Distribution Transformers, and/or AIS/GIS and good understanding about Grid Technologies market.
- Proven experience of at least 10 years in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales.
- Leadership experience and proven track record in people management.
- Proven capabilities in motivating change and building sustainable teams.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
- Strong set of personal skills that support building a network, developing people, culture, and organization combined with proactiveness, innovation, and partnership.
- Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed commitments/objectives while taking ownership of complex challenges.
- Excellent business insight and a solid entrepreneurial, hands-on profile.
- EHS mentality is part of your values.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as support the needs of the business and our customers.
