Job Description
The Australian Head of Development of Transmission Projects reports to the Energy Infrastructure Director and is responsible for managing the origination and development of transmission lines and related infrastructure (substations) in Australia, in alignment with business targets.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor transmission public and private tenders with relevant authorities and counterparties.
Negotiate and secure rights over project land, maintaining good relationships with landowners.
Lead the permitting process, ensuring all project permits, licenses, and authorizations are obtained on time and within budget.
Manage grid access and interconnection with the relevant ISO/utility.
Manage project design with consultants, advisors, and engineers to minimize environmental and social impact, completion schedules, and costs while maintaining technical requirements.
Assess risks related to locations for developing and building transmission projects.
Find and implement solutions to ensure project feasibility from an investment and financing perspective.
Establish commercial and/or strategic relationships with potential clients, partners, or collaborators in each market.
Contract and manage services providers, consultants, and advisors supporting development activities.
Maintain relationships with local, regional, and national administrations (public and private), DNO/TSO/ISO, and other entities/agencies for expedited processing of permits, licenses, and authorizations.
Interact and support construction and business areas, being the main point of competence for the area of knowledge.
Lead and manage the development team (when applicable).
