Position Overview

As an integral member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of care we provide to our community. In the capacity of Roster Clerk, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the scheduling and administrative operations for our aged care services.

Employment Type

This is a Permanent Full-Time position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and publish the bi-weekly staff rosters.
  • Ensure timely submission of payroll information for each pay period.
  • Maintain a comprehensive master roster while adhering to budgetary constraints, factoring in occupancy levels and care minutes.
  • Coordinate staff replacements and manage unexpected leave.
  • Assist in the recruitment process within the facility.
  • Distribute the bi-weekly roster within established timelines and create daily run sheets for staff.
  • Handle staff replacements and process leave requests.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Manage all aspects of the roster and payroll systems for the facility, with support from head office services.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Experience in staff rostering for shift-based operations.
  • Proficiency in using rostering software and systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to meet deadlines, thrive under pressure, and adapt swiftly to changing circumstances.
  • The capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent numerical skills.
