We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality IT services to our customers.

This strategic role exercises significant decision-making authority under limited supervision, making it an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional.

Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for managing customer relationships, growing customer business, and ensuring the timely delivery of IT services.
  • The successful candidate will contribute to short and long-term organisational planning and strategy as a business leader.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic direction on training schedules to meet customer growth requirements.
  • Negotiate terms with customers to ensure projects stay within scope.
  • Review SLA and KPI measures to guarantee continuous improvement.
  • Ensure availability, performance, and capacity management for key systems and solutions.
  • Asset lifecycle and configuration management for customer environments.
  • System business continuity and disaster recovery plans and work instructions.
  • Identify unstated customer requirements and champion their implementation.

Requirements:

  • University degree in software, electrical, mechanical, or system engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
  • A minimum of eight years' experience in supporting complex IT environments.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in the same industry.
  • Knowledge of Prince2, Agile, or PMBOK project management methodologies.
  • ITIL training.

Personal Qualities:

  • Self-motivated.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and interact with all levels of internal and external organisations.

Estimated Salary Range: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
