
Senior Capture Manager

We are seeking a seasoned capture management professional to lead our Engineering Services team. QinetiQ delivers mission-critical services and systems to Defence, national security, and essential industry. Our global presence brings expertise to local challenges, helping build Australia's sovereign industrial capability.
This role involves working with senior management to define business development strategies, win competitive contracts, and drive growth in revenue and profit. You will be accountable for delivering the order intake and pipeline in accordance with campaign objectives, focusing on both short and long-term goals.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in executing major captures, cradle-to-grave execution of win strategies, and effective bid management. Strong collaboration ethos, customer domain knowledge, and relevant experience in winning business with customers and industrial partners are essential.
- Accountable for developing and approving Capture Strategies, including associated business development investments.
- Built and maintained relationships at senior management level, providing support and insight to drive long-term outcomes.
- Demonstrated timely and successful delivery through strong leadership of direct and virtual teams.
- Influenced customer requirements, procurement strategies, and acquisition approaches to align with company capabilities and strategic objectives.

Required Skills and QualificationsYou will need:
- A proven track record in hands-on execution of major captures in a competitive terrain, preferably with formal training in recognised best practice.
- A proven track record in cradle-to-grave execution of win strategies, implementing Capture through effective bid management and direction.
- Solid experience working in Defence and Secure Government environments with particular focus on Defence and Aerospace markets within those environments.
- An established network with the Defence and Secure Government markets with strong reputation built upon consistent delivery.
- Proven ability to lead teams of senior professionals that span business and functional boundaries.
- Deep customer domain knowledge and relationships, ability to provide thought leadership to customers in complex domains and develop compelling QinetiQ propositions.
- Relevant experience of winning business with customers and industrial partners in a demonstrably similar environment.
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance. Current security clearance is advantageous.
