About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Komatsu America Corp. in Western Australia. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our products in the Western Australian market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach.
  • Own all sales processes from initial contact, through engagement to proactively managing new and existing clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve growth targets and expand Komatsu MTS Technologies market share.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
  • Manage customer relations to achieve value in use from our products aligned with other business units.
  • Solve problems for clients and customers by developing innovative and tailored sales solutions.
  • Manage the end-to-end Sales Process while regularly providing feedback on customer and market trends.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline progress, and performance to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Attend approved industry events, functions, and conferences to build industry connections.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in business development and technical sales, preferably relating to the mining industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Mining industry, market trends, and competitors.
  • Familiarity with Mining technology and the ability to understand customer needs.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and clients at all levels within an organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver successful customer outcomes with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work autonomously to meet business expectation, KPI's, and customer targets.
  • Extensive administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy to ensure contracts represent the requirements of both parties to the agreement.
  • Experience with MS Office suite, Salesforce, Sharepoint, and their use.
