About the Role

This full-time permanent position is based in Leongatha, Gippsland, and involves providing Bookkeeping services, Taxation planning, Auditing, Budgeting, and monitoring monthly cash flow to businesses across Victoria.

Responsibilities
  • Manage tax compliance by reviewing and analysing financial documents and records to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns for clients, identifying potential tax deductions or credits.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of complex financial matters to clients, demonstrating professionalism and maintaining strict client confidentiality.
  • Oversee a client base, managing their financial accounts and providing guidance on financial decisions.
  • Supervise junior accountants and bookkeepers, providing feedback and support when needed.
About the Company

This well-established locally owned accounting firm has over 60 years of experience in providing high-quality accounting services to businesses across various industries, including primary production, retail, construction, health services, travel, and hospitality.

Requirements
  • An Accounting degree is required, as well as 5+ years of related public practice experience.
  • Excellent Excel skills, with experience using large ERP accounting systems and MYOB/QuickBooks.
  • Strong organisational skills, good attention to detail, and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
