The Senior Event Operations Manager will be responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and operational management of event-related activity at the Sydney Opera House. This role will lead the account management, production management, stage management, and Centre for Creativity teams to achieve the highest standards of hirer satisfaction, strong and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and high-quality professional event management services.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement event management strategies to achieve business objectives
• Lead and manage a team of event operations professionals to deliver high-quality events
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements
• Proven experience in event operations management, preferably in a large and complex organization
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements
