Sales Development Manager

This role forms a key part of the sales and marketing function at Citation Group. As the Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Business Development Coordinators. Your primary focus will be on driving sales performance and achieving targets. You will work closely with the Head of Sales & Commercial Operations to develop and implement sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a similar sized team and experience in appointment setting and inside sales. You will be responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to your team to drive sales performance and achieve targets. The team is dispersed across our office locations of Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and New Zealand. You will be responsible for managing the team's activity and top of funnel metrics. You will also be responsible for ongoing coaching and training for the Inbound and Outbound BD consultants. The role requires a high-energy level, a natural flair for collaboration and communication, passion, and resilience. You will be able to bring a positive attitude to work each day. The ideal candidate will have evidence of at least 4 years' experience managing an appointment setting / inside sales team. You will be proficient in understanding call centre systems, CRM, and associated KPIs. You will have numerical abilities and a first-class 'can do' problem-solving attitude. You will be highly energetic, creative, performance-driven, with consultative selling skills. You will have a professional demeanor with strong customer service approach and excellent negotiation skills. You will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
