Accounts Payable Expert
Whittens, a multidisciplinary civil construction company with over 23 years of experience in Western Australia, New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland, is seeking an Accounts Payable Expert to join their Head Office in Osborne Park, Perth. The successful candidate will provide accounts support and other finance support to their projects sites and business units.
The role requires the ability to process high volumes of vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This includes matching invoices with purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies, collaborating with internal and external departments to resolve invoice-related inquiries, managing monthly vendor reconciliations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date vendor records, monitoring and responding to Account Payable queries in the AP inbox, preparing weekly payment runs, ensuring all reporting is conducted accurately and in line with deadlines, and contributing to the improvement of business systems and processes.
Key requirements for this role include demonstrated experience as an Accounts Payable Officer (minimum 3-5 years) from a high-volume environment, intermediate Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Vista is desirable but not a must), strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a proactive and solution-focused approach.
