Senior Accounts Payable Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Payable Professional to join our team. This is a permanent part-time position working a maximum of 30 hours per week with the flexibility of working the hours over four or five days.

Job Description:
  • This role will be responsible for accurately recording and administering company creditors, ensuring creditors are processed and paid within required timeframes for our Australian and Papua New Guinea operations.
  • Leading and project managing business improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable processes in the Australia and Papua New Guinea operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Overseeing and leading the department's end-to-end accounts payable process.
  2. Processing high-volume invoice batching and processing (including in foreign currencies).
  3. Ensuring creditor invoices are processed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
  4. Maintaining vendor accounts and responding to creditor queries as required.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in a senior accounts payable role or extensive experience in an accounts role.
  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement.
  • Strong ability to work effectively within a small team.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude and proactive approach.
