Accounts Payable Specialist

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position located at our office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately record and administer company creditors, ensuring timely payment of invoices.
- Process high-volume invoice batching and processing in foreign currencies.
- Ensure creditor invoices are processed efficiently and accurately, with correct purchase orders and approvals.
- Perform accurate creditor statement reconciliations against invoices and address discrepancies monthly.
- Prepare payment runs for approval and upload into the banking system.
- Maintain vendor accounts, including setup and updates.
- Respond to creditor queries and maintain effective relations with suppliers.
- Liaise with site representatives and suppliers in an efficient manner.
- Ensure filing of accounts payable files is up-to-date and archived as required.
- Identify and address issues promptly, escalating matters as necessary.
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounts payable processes.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing supporting documentation as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous relevant experience in Accounts Payable role.
- Strong ability to work effectively within a team.
- Positive attitude and proactive approach, with a 'can-do' mindset.
- High energy and capacity to work to tight deadlines on multiple tasks.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to persuade and express ideas.
- High level of computer literacy, with strong capability in Excel.
- Proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
