Accounts Payable Officer Job Description

The role of Accounts Payable Officer involves processing high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and in compliance with company policies. This position reports directly to the Management Accountant.

  • Process vendor invoices efficiently, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and resolve any discrepancies that may arise
  • Process FX invoices and prepare ad-hoc payment runs as needed
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments to resolve invoice-related inquiries in a timely manner
  • Administer credit cards, including cancellations
  • Manage monthly vendor reconciliations to ensure accuracy and up-to-date records
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records for future reference
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and contribute to process improvements

Key Requirements:

  • Prior experience as an Accounts Payable Officer from a high-volume environment is essential
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required for this role
  • Able to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this position
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities are essential for resolving invoice-related inquiries
