Role Overview:

Regional Rehabilitation Specialist

This role is pivotal in orchestrating injury management activities to optimise recovery outcomes for injured workers while minimising the impact on the individual and workplace.

To achieve this, they focus on early participation in workplace rehabilitation, coordinating with all relevant stakeholders including the injured worker, treating doctors, supervisors, managers, and specialised rehabilitation providers ensuring a progressive rehabilitation plan.

  • Accreditation or training in workplace injury management or rehabilitation
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in managing and coordinating rehabilitation and return to work initiatives
  • Ability to coordinate rehabilitation activities with multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of contemporary evidence-based workplace rehabilitation and injury management practices
  • Experience in managing workers' compensation matters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organisation and time management skills
  • Computer literacy particularly with Microsoft Office
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification or degree within a health-related discipline
  • Previous experience within the healthcare sector
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation legislation
