Key Position

The Injury Management and Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator is a critical role within our organisation, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end injury claims management process. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring timely and cost-effective outcomes for employees who have suffered workplace injuries.

This key position requires an individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. The successful candidate will have experience in injury management and RTW coordination, preferably at a national level.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective injury management strategies
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure best practice approach to injury management
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to internal stakeholders on rehabilitation and case management practices
  • Analyse and report on WorkCover and injury data/trends
  • Assist in reviewing and implementing policies and procedures
  • Design and deliver training programs for internal stakeholders
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including insurers, health professionals, unions, and lawyers

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position with exposure to injury management and RTW coordinator duties
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with stakeholders
  • Driven, solution-oriented, and innovative thinker
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Completed RTW Coordinator training (desirable)
  • Previous experience working with HRIS and Injury Management systems (desirable)
