Job Title: Beauty Category Growth StrategistJob Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Beauty Category Growth Strategist to join our dynamic commercial team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the beauty category at THE ICONIC, curating a selection that reflects the latest trends and meets the evolving needs of our customers.

About the Role:
  • Drive company-wide strategies and OKRs to achieve commercial growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and products in the e-commerce industry, making recommendations on product and/or brand selection for THE ICONIC.
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain adequate stock levels, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and assist in the selection and deactivation process, negotiating favourable terms and conditions for contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of vendor details, including brand plans, SKU lists, and department brand profile matrices.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in the customer onsite experience, using data analysis and customer focus.
  • Analyse data, interpret trends, and propose informed decisions based on data-driven insights.
  • Develop and implement strategic road maps according to commercial strategies, brand adjacencies, and customer segment demographics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, working collaboratively to achieve mutual goals and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Liaise with internal teams for vendor onboarding and ongoing support.
  • Work collaboratively with agreed key brands to build assortments.
  • Manage inefficient and unproductive brands, proposing informed strategies for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate contract management, reading and understanding complex contracts, and meeting all terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with marketing to identify GTM and promotional opportunities for the category, driving sales.
  • Develop relationships with internal key stakeholders, including Marketing, Vendor Management, Operations, and Finance.
  • Communicate effectively and concisely, providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
About You:
  • Prior experience as a Buyer in a high-volume business is ideal.
  • Skilled in Excel reporting, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and a strong team player.
  • A love for all things Beauty.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
