As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Executive Chef in the management of food preparation, production, and implementation of menus that showcase our luxury hotel's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily food service and on-site kitchen operations to ensure seamless execution of menus and high-quality food presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef and Executive Chef to develop new menus and concepts that align with Sofitel's brand standards and culinary excellence.
  • Oversee food preparation, production, and presentation to meet Brand Standard guidelines and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the stewarding team to ensure efficient kitchen operations and meet kitchen requirements.
  • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors to meet food and beverage operational objectives.
Requirements:
  • Culinary excellence: minimum 4 years' experience as a Sous Chef.
  • Food Handler Certificate.
  • Trade Certification Level 3. Level 4 preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong kitchen managerial skills and operational leadership.
  • Team building and strong employee relations.
  • A drive for customer satisfaction.
  • Alignment with Sofitel and House Made Hospitality values, and commitment to undertake growth and development within these brands.
  • Full Australian Work Rights.
