Clinical Director for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

About the Role:
Austin Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to lead our Infant Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical governance and leadership to our front-end services for children and youth, while also linking our ICYMHS service with general Consultation Psychiatrist Liaison services at Austin Health to the Emergency Department.
About You:
- You must be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- You must hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification
- You must hold a RANZCP Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, or equivalent. Psychiatrists with significant experience in Youth Psychiatry will be considered for the role focused on young people aged 12-25 years
- You must have an interest in access, frontline assessment and Liaison Psychiatry settings
- You must demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care
- You must demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe and quality care across the continuum
- You must demonstrate a commitment to teaching, training and research
