About Austin Health

Austin Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care and promoting the highest levels of mental health care. Our department is dedicated to research, teaching, and evidence-based practice.

The Senior Mental Health Clinician will play a critical role in providing clinical case management services informed by developmental, systemic, and collaborative frameworks. This experienced clinician will work closely with infants, children, and their families to provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment interventions.

In this senior role, you will lead and mentor junior team members, providing discipline-specific supervision across the organization. You will be part of a supportive team that genuinely enjoys their work and makes a positive impact on children and families.

This opportunity presents an exciting chance to join the Infant and Child Team as we develop our services to the community. A regular day will involve assessing and treating patients, liaising with family members and caregivers, facilitating total patient management, participating in continuing education activities, and collaborating with multiple teams.

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to excellence in direct care, and a keen interest in developing your skillset. Key requirements include a relevant qualification, current AHPRA registration, and the ability to provide treatment for a wide range of mental health concerns in children and adolescents.

We offer a range of benefits, including generous salary packaging, a suite of wellness initiatives, mentoring and career development opportunities, onsite childcare, easy access via public transport, car parking, and end-of-journey facilities for cyclists. We value diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from talented individuals of all backgrounds.

As a Senior Mental Health Clinician at Austin Health, you will enjoy a competitive estimated salary of $120,000 - $140,000 per year, reflecting the organization's commitment to rewarding its employees.
