Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and Eating Disorders Service Teams. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric services to young consumers and their families or support networks.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive psychiatric services to young consumers and their families or support networks in the Inpatient and Specialist Eating Disorders Service Teams.
- Work collaboratively with peer medical, junior medical, nursing, and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe, and quality care across the continuum.
- Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care, teaching, training, and research.
- Be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification.
- Have detailed knowledge of the triage and access systems to tertiary mental health services.
- Demonstrate experience with a variety of liaison psychiatry settings, including in-reach to the emergency department where indicated.
