Leading Consultant in Mental Health

Austin Health is a leading provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research in the north-east of Melbourne and state-wide. We are renowned for our expertise in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health, and rehabilitation.
We are seeking experienced medical practitioners to join our team as Advanced Trainees in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry. This role offers a comprehensive training experience, with rotations across various departments, including liaison relationships with Statewide Spinal Rehabilitation and Liver Transplant Services.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with young people, the elderly, and in addiction psychiatry. They will also be able to attend the Functional Neurology Clinic, a unique learning experience supported by Professor Richard Kanaan. Opportunities for leadership exist within the team, ideal for registrars nearing Fellowship.

To be successful in this role, you must have General Registration as an Australian Medical Practitioner with AHPRA, be accepted into an RANZCP Advanced Training Certificate program, and possess above-average skills as a communicator and collaborator. Salary: $125,900 - $173,290 per annum + salary packaging + super
