Clinical Mental Health Specialist

A unique opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist to work in a collaborative and supportive environment at Austin Health.
Austin Health is a world-renowned provider of tertiary health services, health professional education, and research across three campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide.
The successful candidate will have at least 5-7 years of clinical mental health experience and will be required to work in a crisis assessment team, telephone triage, emergency psychiatry service, and PACER on a 24/7 rotating roster.
The role offers a unique opportunity to utilise specialist assessment and brief crisis intervention skills, specialist secondary consultations, clinical leadership, support and oversight of delegated duties to members of the team, network with stakeholders and carers, and participate in quality improvement activities.
Required skill set and qualifications include current registration with AHPRA with 5-7 years' experience in a clinical mental health setting, engaging in enhanced mental health/risk assessment and management, well-developed communication skills, networking, and interpersonal skills.
