About the Role
As a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and Eating Disorders Service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric services to young consumers and their families or support networks.
About the Services
Austin Health is a major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education, and research across three campuses in the north-east of Melbourne and state-wide. Our services include the Infant Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS), which provides specialized care to young people aged 0-25 years.
About the Team
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of highly passionate and collaborative mental health professionals who are dedicated to providing excellent care to our patients. Our team is committed to working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for our patients and their families.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must be a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). You must also hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification. Additionally, you must have detailed knowledge of the triage and access systems to tertiary mental health services.
