Clinical Lead in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

About the Role
Austin Health is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to provide leadership and clinical governance to the front-end services for children and youth in the Mental Health Division. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in linking the ICYMHS service and general Consultation Psychiatrist Liaison services to the Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and governance to front-end services for children and youth
- Link ICYMHS service and general Consultation Psychiatrist Liaison services to the Emergency Department
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care
- Contribute to teaching, training, and research initiatives
Requirements
- Registered Medical Practitioner in Australia with AHPRA
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification
- RANZCP Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or equivalent
- Significant experience in Youth Psychiatry, particularly in access, frontline assessment, and Liaison Psychiatry settings
