Job Description:
As an Executive Kitchen Team Member, you will be responsible for assisting the chef in charge to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen. Your duties will include preparing mise en place for all relevant menus, ensuring consistent great food production in line with the high quality standards set by the Hotel, and ensuring that all dishes are prepared consistently and according to standard. You will also be responsible for ensuring strict stock rotation and minimum wastage, and assisting with ordering necessary food items. Additionally, you will comply with all WHS, food safety legislation, provide a courteous and professional service, and ensure that guest feedback is actioned and communicated to the team.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 1 year work experience as a Demi Chef working in a hotel or restaurant with high food quality standards. You must also have the ability to operate various kitchen equipment and practice sound cooking techniques. Completion of a Chef Apprenticeship or Certificate in commercial cookery is highly desirable. Good food hygiene and safety knowledge, including safe and accurate knife skills, is essential. Knowledge and experience in a variety of different cooking methods is also required. You must be available to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays. Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team is essential.
