Senior Payroll Professional

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Professional to join our Human Resource Team at Stamford Hotels and Resorts Adelaide.
About the RoleThis part-time role is responsible for ensuring employees receive accurate wages paid fortnightly, according to industrial relations tools and associated legislation. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and managing payroll and payroll data, including employee working hours, allowances/penalties, and terminations/redundancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Heads of Departments to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing.
- Provide timely payroll services to both Hotels in Adelaide and all staff members, including processing payroll reports, reconciliations, and other necessary management and statutory reporting.
- Maintain accurate employee records, taking into account overtime, bonuses, and mid-year annual remuneration implementation.
- Review and update payroll processes and controls to ensure compliance with national and state-based legislation and regulations, and implement improvements as required.
- Liaise with HR Information System vendors to troubleshoot system issues and propose enhancements.
- Perform data entry payroll preparation, including new hires, exits, position, and employee roster changes.
- Respond to employee questions about compensation, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
- Prepare payroll reports for heads of Departments in line with monthly headcount and payroll budget.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen with a tertiary education background in accounting or business, and have comprehensive experience in performing payroll processes on HR Information System for over 5 years. You will also need deep knowledge of national and state level legislation, roster and timesheet management, awards, and enterprise agreements.
