Payroll Support Specialist for Government Department

Randstad is currently recruiting experienced payroll professionals to support a well-known State Government department based in Adelaide's CBD.

Multiple positions are available, with a duration of 3-6 months and potential extension. Workdays will be Monday through Friday. This role offers competitive pay rates between $43-$45 per hour, plus superannuation benefits.

About the Role:

  • Support end-to-end payroll processes for a high volume of employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including salary, benefits, and deductions.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax and benefits.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to maintain up-to-date and accurate payroll information.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in payroll support administration, preferably in a government setting.
  • Familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and tax regulations.
  • Able to handle confidential information effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to quickly adapt to new programs and technologies.
