About the role and the team:

The Payroll Officer is accountable to the Operational Team Leader, Health Team 2, and Payroll Services. You will be responsible for processing fortnightly payroll.

The Payroll Officer will:

  • Work effectively as an individual and a member of the team to meet deadlines, identify and deal with problems
  • Be required to deal with complex queries
  • Be required to process pay files and facilitate the processing of pay related processes, such as system changes
  • Be open to developing a variety of payroll skills, such as fortnightly master data entry, timesheet coding and leave application processing
  • Be required to work towards daily targets and actively contribute to achieve team goals
  • Be required to communicate effectively with both internal staff members and external agency employees and clients

Requirements:

  • Payroll knowledge
  • Proficient numeracy skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Micrsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) basic knowledge
  • Quick learner
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment

All temporary contractors put forward must have a valid Police Clearance check and a copy is to be provided at the interview stage.

Salary Estimate: AU$60,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
