Commercial Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Director to join our team in Sydney, Australia. This role focuses on driving business growth through strategic partnerships, channel development, and hands-on deal-making.

Job Overview:

This is a high-impact commercial leadership role for a well-connected and results-driven individual. You will be responsible for cultivating opportunities, building relationships, and positioning our organization with senior decision-makers across enterprise brands, agency networks, and independent agencies.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate and execute a commercial strategy that drives revenue growth across direct sales, growth, channel, and partnership streams.
  2. Lead and manage a portfolio of enterprise opportunities from initial conversations through to signed contracts, navigating complex multi-stakeholder deals.
  3. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline across priority sectors and high-value accounts, leveraging your network to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  4. Promote and expand our organization's presence at industry events, conferences, and private forums, establishing ourselves as thought leaders in the market.
  5. Build and manage strategic partnerships and channel relationships, executing joint campaigns and co-selling motions that drive mutual value.
  6. Lead and coach a high-performing Sales Executive team, enabling them to succeed in their roles while continuing to personally lead major deals.
  7. Monitor, analyze, and optimize execution using data to ensure targets are met and exceeded.
Requirements:
  • 8–10 years' experience in enterprise sales, commercial leadership, and business development, ideally within SaaS, enterprise tech, or marketing technology.
  • An established, high-value network across the ANZ marketing and media ecosystem, with a proven record of converting relationships into revenue.
  • Proven track record in an early-stage or high-growth startup, building commercial strategy and closing major enterprise deals.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing commercial teams.
  • Demonstrated success working with enterprise brands, agency networks, and independent agencies to deliver revenue growth.
  • Strong presentation and pitching skills, with experience leading high-stakes client meetings, RFPs, and tender responses.
  • Proficiency with martech tools such as HubSpot and Outreach, and experience working with sales enablement to amplify impact.
  • Comfort operating in a lean, high-performance team, moving between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Deep understanding of the Sydney and broader ANZ enterprise market, with an established network of senior decision-makers.
