The Role

This position will be selling predominately capital products. The ideal candidate will have experience selling capital products, understanding and appreciating the longer sales cycle process, and proven success in winning new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales activities to gain sales growth and market share with existing and new customers through negotiation, customer focus, and education.
  • Build strong working relationships with key hospital contacts to maximise business opportunities and provide added value to customers through product knowledge and understanding of their preferences and needs.
  • Evolve into a product expert, offering clinical and technical insights in hospital settings.
  • Devise a strategic business plan and monitor the territory, sharing findings with the Regional Manager.
  • Address product issues using knowledge and resourcefulness.
  • Present in the operating theatre to assist surgeons and theatre staff to maximise the use and application of Stryker products, and provide technical expertise to registrars, nurses, and other personnel as required.
  • Oversee the maintenance of product inventory.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of influencing sales, whether in retail, hospitality, customer service, or another sales role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling connection with healthcare professionals and building lasting relationships.
  • A self-starter with a results-driven mindset, always striving to exceed expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities and propose effective solutions.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude, as challenges will be faced in a competitive market.
