Business Development Manager for Embedded Partnerships

At Deputy, we're on a mission to revolutionise the way work gets done. As our Lead Partner Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving business growth through strategic partnerships.
About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and lead our embedded partnerships strategy. In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting and executing a GTM strategy with our partners, including Xero, to maximise attach rates and drive revenue.
Responsibilities- Craft a comprehensive GTM strategy for our joint-embedded solution, working closely with our Marketing team to ensure alignment and success.
- Work alongside our Product leadership to develop optimal solutions that meet the needs of both parties and drive business outcomes.
- Manage executive stakeholders at Deputy and Xero to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Advocate for data-driven decision making, influencing stakeholders to prioritise initiatives that drive revenue.
- Triage cross-functional issues efficiently and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Think creatively to identify new partnership opportunities, enhance our 1+1>2 story, and influence partners to prioritise Deputy.
- Develop and socialise business cases that clearly articulate the potential impact of partnership initiatives, demonstrating ROI and value.
- Participate in sales trainings, webinars, and conferences to build relationships with partners and drive business growth.
- Influence the Partner Marketing roadmap to create high-value content for our partnership ecosystem, enhancing our brand presence and reputation.
- Track pipeline metrics and maintain dashboards that communicate the effectiveness of channel distribution with our partners, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Advocate for the Deputy partner program across the ecosystem, promoting its benefits and value proposition.
- Respond to new partner integration requests, triage queries, and redirect them into Deputy's Advocate & ISV program, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Proven experience in partnerships within a SaaS organisation, with a strong understanding of the industry landscape.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally and drive results.
- Experience working within ISV (integration) partnerships, with a deep understanding of their complexities and challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build relationships at all levels and drive collaboration.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and navigate evolving environments, with a focus on driving business growth and innovation.
- Experience negotiating complex partnerships with executive stakeholders, with a track record of success.
- High-growth company experience, comfortable working in environments of ambiguity, and energised by building processes that scale.
- A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
