About the Role

We are excited to announce the establishment of Duty-Free stores at Melbourne Airport, offering various roles and shifts. In this opportunity, we seek highly motivated individuals to join our team as Duty Free Sales Professionals.

As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for creating and managing sales and gross profit growth by providing exceptional customer service, maximizing profits within the Lotte Duty Free business through up-selling and add-on sales. This role will focus on engaging with all customers, with a primary emphasis on Tour Groups when they are in the store.

This role involves:

  • Completing activities and actively supporting initiatives to create and grow sales in the PRC (People's Republic of China) Tour Group market.
  • Assisting in building and maintaining good relationships with PRC tour group leaders.
  • Utilizing expert knowledge to identify customer needs and recommend suitable products.
  • Developing a deep understanding of products that appeal to PRC Tour Group customers and their buying preferences.
  • Awareness of and achievement of sales budgets on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Being proactive and creative in approaching customers and up-selling to all customers wherever possible.
  • Awareness of competitor activity, including other duty-free outlets and domestic stores.
  • Practicing good housekeeping in accordance with Lotte Duty Free policy to maintain high standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the product range.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current promotional activities and ability to communicate them clearly to customers to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Restocking shelves to maintain good stock levels at all times.

Your Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Ensuring a friendly, professional, and ethical standard of service is provided to our customers at all times.
  • SUCCESSFUL relationship and resolution of issues with Internal and External customers.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of sales, returns, and issues related to Customer Services.
  • Action warranty repairs in a timely fashion.

About You:

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to communicate fluently (verbal and written) in English and Mandarin.
  • Proven track record of achieving successful sales in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness, as manual handling/heavy lifting may be involved.
  • Demonstrable high standard of personal presentation.
  • Demonstrable ability to be punctual.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of retail/customer service operations.
  • Strong numerical ability.
  • A strong sense of urgency at all times.
  • Demonstrable proactive approach to all work tasks.
  • Ability to manage various competing priorities and ability to assess and resolve basic problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well and effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal communication.

The estimated salary for this role is between $60,000 and $80,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
