The role of a Nurse Education Specialist involves providing educational leadership and guidance to enable the development of knowledge and skill in clinical settings.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse educator to join our team as a maternity leave cover in a busy Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit.

As a champion of education, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, facilitating, and evaluating learning activities for both staff and learners.

  • Developing and delivering high-quality educational programs that meet the needs of nursing staff and learners.
  • Working in partnership with the Learning Team and the Emergency Department/Short Stay Unit to ensure continuing professional development activities are in line with the delivery of clinical excellence.
  • Identifying and prioritizing the professional development needs of nursing staff and learners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Nursing or a related field.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current clinical experience in paediatric nursing.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Excellent clinical, time management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem-solve.
  • A compassionate, flexible, and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
