Role Overview
As the ideal candidate, you will be instrumental in sustaining and growing our client base while showcasing our outstanding product offerings. Engaging with customers is essential for success in this position. You will serve as the primary representative for our trade and retail clientele, ensuring top-notch service and support while promoting the GWA brand.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sales Performance: Meeting budgeted sales and margin objectives within your designated area and analyzing sales data to develop effective strategies for increasing sales and enhancing profitability.
- Expense Oversight: Monitoring and managing expenses within your role, reporting discrepancies, and proposing solutions to ensure that spending aligns with desired outcomes.
- Market Insights: Delivering valuable insights regarding competitors, merchant activities, market conditions, and economic trends to inform sales strategies and initiatives.
- Product Knowledge: Facilitating tailored product training for merchants and providing technical information both internally and externally, focusing on saleable features and benefits.
- Relationship Development: Demonstrating expertise in building and maintaining relationships with current and prospective stakeholders. You will also represent the organization at relevant merchant and trade events, collaborating with internal teams across various business units.
- Reporting: Compiling weekly sales reports that detail sales volume, potential sales, customer base expansion, and competitor activities. Participating in regular meetings to discuss ongoing activities and market interests.
- Merchandising: Ensuring that merchant displays are up-to-date and visually appealing, removing outdated products, and maximizing brand visibility. Additionally, maintaining Point of Sale materials, price lists, technical manuals, and other relevant resources.
- Sales Strategies: Identifying opportunities to develop and implement sales strategies aimed at maximizing sales and margin growth, continuously reviewing initiatives and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a proactive, customer-oriented individual with a strong passion for sales and relationship management, possessing:
- Demonstrated experience in sales and account management, ideally within the industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and MS ERP systems.
